Valentine Week Day 2

Good Tuesday morning and welcome to my second day of Valentine projects.  It seems I can rarely make a card without using some kind of frame.  The Impression Obsession Ornate Rectangle Frame is perfect for using to enhance my red rose floral spray.  The rose spray was made using the Impression Obsession Spiral Flowers Large and the Leafy Branch and the scalloped layer is the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackables.

I attached the red scalloped layer directly to the card base with ATG adhesive.  I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the white layer and then attached it to the red base.  The frame was cut and the separate parts were attached together from the back with double stick tape and then it was attached to the card base with thin strips of mounting tape.  I cut a thin white frame using my Spellbinder large and small Classic Square Die set and attached to the frame with 1/8” double stick tape..

I cut and formed three roses around the tip of my tweezers and rolled back the petals with needle nose pliers. You can see my rolled rose tutorial to see how I create my flowers. I cut several sections of the Leafy Branch and cut them apart to use for my floral spray base.  I attached a few of the larger sections with glossy accents to create a base for the roses. I applied glossy accents to the back of each rose and attached in the center of the foliage base.  I filled in the foliage all around the flowers with several of the smaller pieces of foliage.  I love these little red rolled roses centered in the middle of the foliage spray. Once again I love the contrast of the red and white.  This card reminds of the old-fashioned Valentine’s from years ago.
