Good Thursday morning and welcome to day 4 of my week of Valentine’s Day projects. My project today was made using the hearts leftover from the frames I used for my Valentine week day 3 post. The heart layers were made using the Essentials by Ellen Folk Hearts set and was paired with the Impression Obsession Spiral Flowers Large, Leaf Cluster and Leaves and Stems. The red base layer was made using the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackables.
I began by attaching the scalloped layers to the card base using ATG adhesive. The large white heart was attached to the card base using strips of mounting tape. The medium red heart was attached directly to the white heart using ATG adhesive. Finally, the small white heart was attached with mounting tape.
I rolled the single rose around the tip of my tweezers to form and secured in place using glossy accents. Three leaf clusters were attached to the back of the rose with glossy accents and then it was attached to the white heart. I arranged and attached a few more leaf clusters around the rose to fill in and then added a few of the longer stems to complete the small floral spray. I used thin strips of red cardstock to make the tiny red bow and streamers. I lightly rolled and pulled the strip of cardstock over my finger to soften it a little and then formed two individual bow loops and attached to the top of the floral spray with glossy accents and then attached the two streamers to the bottom of the floral spray with glossy accents. I like the bright boldness of the two white heart layers against the bright red background and the red rose and foliage add softness to the project.
I hope you’ll check back with me tomorrow for my last day of Valentines. I have lots of fun playing with all the red, white and green and I hope I have inspired you to start making sweet cards for your friends and loved ones.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.
