Framed Butterfly Block

Good Sunday morning. My project today was made using the new Impression Obsession Butterfly Block and We are Memory Keepers Nesting Rectangles. I fell in love with the die cut pattern of flowers and leaves surrounding the beautiful butterfly. I thought it would be so pretty cut in white and layered over the purple cardstock base.  The next time I think I will try to cut the die out using watercolor paper and and water coloring it with reinkers.

The frame was attached to the Butterfly Block with double stick tape.  Don’t look too close but my frame isn’t really even in size all the way around.  LOL!

I attached thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the framed block and attached it to the card base.  I cut a second butterfly section of the block out using white scrap paper, snipped the butterfly out and popped it up over the butterfly base attaching the body section with glossy accents.  I like the additional element of dimension.

This was a really fast and easy card to make and yet the decorative die cut makes such an impact.  The flowers and leaves patterns are so whimsical and fun.

Thanks for coming by today and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

Card size:  5.50” x 4.25”
