Good Monday morning. The new Impression Obsession die release includes several sentiment word blocks that are perfect to use as the main focal point on a card front. My project today was made using the Good Wishes Word Block paired with the flowers from the Spring Wreath set and the Flourish die.
I cut the white and purple layers and attached them both to the card base with thin strips of mounting tape. I wanted these layers to be popped up to add dimension.
I cut the word block and applied thin strips of mounting tape all the way around the back of the frame. I applied a few tiny pieces of mounting tape to a some key spots on the back of the letters to hold the sentiment up away from the card base and then attached the word block to the card base. I wanted to add another element of interest to the frame and thought the flourish mimicked the scrolls of the S and W in the sentiments. I cut one piece of the flourish, cut it apart and attached it to the top of the frame with glossy accents. I cut and formed three flowers from the wreath set using my stylus and molding pad. I attached the flower layers together with glossy accents and then attached them to the flourish with glossy accents. I liked the white word block and flowers layered over the darker cardstock. I think it makes the words pop.
Have you had a chance to check out the new die release? If you love word and sentiment dies this release is definitely for you.
Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a wonderful week.
