Bunnies in the Garden and Blog Candy

Good Saturday morning.  I love making bunny scene projects and just couldn’t help myself to make one for Easter.  I especially love the three bunnies in the Impression Obsession Bunny set.  My project today paired the bunnies with the newly released Impression Obsession Bouquet set, Grass Border, Small Grass Border, Butterfly Set and All-in-One Frames Rectangles 2, and Leaves and Stems.

The large frame was attached to the card base using thin strips of mounting tape. I applied double stick to the lower portion on the back of the scalloped frame, attached the Small Grass Border and then attached thin strips of mounting tape all the way around and attached to the card base. The bunnies were colored with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo applied with a mini applicator.

I cut two sets of the green stems from the Bouquet set and sets of flowers in pink, yellow and purple.  I cut the bouquet stems into smaller sections and attached flowers to the stems with glossy accents. I tucked the flower stems in behind the grass and attached with glossy accents.  I cut a section of Grass Border and cut it into small sections to fill space in-between the flower stems and attached with glossy accents. The bunnies were attached in the scene with pieces of mounting tape.  I cut tiny leaves off of a stem from the Leaves and Stems set and attached to the necks of the bunnies and then attached a tiny 1/8” circle formed using the small tip of my stylus. The whole scene was bottom heavy with all the flowers and bunnies so I added a couple butterflies to the sky area and frame to draw the eye up.

Here’s a closer scene to show the dimension off the scene.

I did a search on my blog this morning using the word bunny and was shocked at how many “bunny project posts” I have made over the years. There really aren’t many animals cuter than a bunny so they make a perfect image to use to make a cheery and sweet card.

Blog Candy  MFT Pierced Square Frames

pierced frame

Well…..I’ve done it again.  I have ordered a die set that I purchased just a few weeks ago.  I placed the MFT Pierced Square Frames on my wish list at Ellen’s and failed to take it off when I first ordered the set and reordered it again.  So my loss is your gain!  All you have to do is leave a comment on this post by 5:00 pm on Wednesday the 30th by 5:00 and you will be entered into the random drawing.

Thanks for coming by today and I hope you are enjoying your Easter weekend.

I am one of your new subscribers of only a couple of weeks but i do enjoy seeing what you have made. I have been through your blog looking at all the different things that you have made and have really enjoyed seeing them all. Oh todays card is just so cute and would make a great easter card for my little neices who would really enjoy it. Thank you for another bunny card as i really don’t mind how many you have already made, it just shows how they are all different,

  28. Hi Kittie, I love your card and you are so talented with your details. It is funny about buying it again. I have done this to many times to count and still have the duplicates piling up! I even went so far as to look for something that was discontinued and wanted really bad. Paid large sum for it, only to discover that I already had it. Ugh! I know for a fact that I don’t have this MFT die set because I don’t have any pierced dies. Thanks so much for sharing your talent. Pinned it in my Kittiecraft folder. Hugs Lori
