Good Sunday morning. I have a sweet new baby card to share with you today made using the new Impression Obsession Patchwork Sheep, Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames, Heart Set, Small Grass Border, Spiral Flowers, Leaves and Stems and the sentiment is from the Clothesline set. The pink heart paper is from Avery Elle Sorbet Collection.
Even though the name of the cute die is called Patchwork Sheep I decided to create a fun all white and pink lamb for my new baby card. I thought the pale pink heart designer paper would be perfect as a background for the lamb and heart sentiment layer. I started by cutting out the sheep pieces and began assembling. The sheep face and ears were sponged with Spun Sugar ink using a mini applicator. The tiny eyes were attached to the face with glossy accents. I added a pink sponged piece of scrap cardstock to the back of the sheep’s mouth and attached with glossy accents. I had fun yesterday using the white embossing paste for my abstract art piece and since it was still out on my desk I decided it would look pretty cute as the white wool on the sheep’s head and body. I applied it with a small palette knife and then lightly patted the flat side of the knife up and down to create the puffiness. I heat dried the embossing paste and then attached the legs to the back of the body with glossy accents and the head to the body with several glue dots.
Here’s a closer view of the embossing paste for the lamb’s wool. I love how it turned out.
I attached the grass border to the back of the frame and then attached the frame to the card base with rolled up double stick tape.
I stamped the sentiment on the heart with black versafine and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Both the sheep and heart were attached to the card base with mounting tape. The tiny rose and leaves were attached to the heart with glossy accents. I think this would be the cutest card for a new baby shower gift.
Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Card size: 5.50” x 4.25”
Kittie,
This is just too sweet…. You’ve really outdone yourself on this one…. I really loved it and thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity
So cute…there’s one of those tiny flowers….I have been in my craft room experimenting with the spiral flower dies; testing different weights of cardstock and DSP. Mine still aren’t as perfect as yours, but I’m not giving up yet. LOL
