Good Sunday morning. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper Challenge. I am the host for today’s challenge and I chose Gail aka mamaxsix as our featured artist. My fall eaves card was inspired by the fall leaves on Gail’s You’re On My Mind project. Are you a member of Splitcoaststampers? Do you play in the daily challenges? I’ve been a member of SCS for twelve years and have loved playing in the challenges. I feel I’ve learned everything I know from being a part of this sharing community. I hope you’ll check out this wonderful online paper crafting community.
I applied peeled paint, spiced marmalade, rusty hinge, fired brick inks in patches on the leaves using mini applicators. I’m sharing some of the pictures below from my leaves with distress inks tutorial.
After I had the leaf covered with color I used wild honey to highlight and blend the colors.
I apply versa to the leaves, cover with clear embossing powder and heat.
Embossing the leaves makes all the colors more brilliant.
I attached the scalloped rectangle layer to the card base with mounting tape. I cut the sentiment three times and attached together with cosmic glitter glue and then attached it to the card base with the same glue. I used this glue as it dries clear.
I arrange the leaves and attach to the card base with glossy accents. I use glossy accents for attaching flowers and leaves because when it dries it holds the pieces securely in place.
Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
Card size: 5.50” x 4.25”
Oh how beautiful, I love how the leaves glisten! I love the simplicity of your card and how the leaves frame the sentiment. Thank you for sharing how you made them.
