My first Project was made using the Season to Sparkle Stamps and Season to Sparkle Die Set. I love the shape of the deer and thought it would be so pretty embossed in gold on a clean white background.

I cut the deer and the stars and embossed them with gold embossing powder.  I stamped the sentiment with versa and embossed with gold embossing powder.  I wanted to have one more element of gold so I applied versa along both edges of a piece of cardstock, embossed with gold and then attached to the sentiment layer. The sentiment strip was attached to the card base with ATG adhesive.  The deer was attached with mounting tape and the stars were popped up on glue dots.

My second project was made using the Stitches Cover Plate, Homespun Holiday Stamps and Homespun Holiday Die Set. I think the pattern on the Stitches Cover Plate is so pretty and wanted the majority of it to be uncovered for my project.  The tree from the Homespun Holiday set was just the perfect thing to add a holiday image to go along with the sentiment but still allow the stitches to show well.

I stamped and cut the tree image twice and colored with Peeled Paint and Candied Apple markers. I applied versa to the images and embossed with clear embossing powder. I cut the bottom portion off of one of the trees and offset and layered it to the back of the front tree.  I wanted to show a few more branches. I stamped and cut the red tree trim piece and star, colored with red marker and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The star was attached to the tree top with glue dots.  I cut the trim into three pieces and attached in the branches with glue dots.

The sentiment was stamped using black versafine on the white layer and embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment was layered with red cardstock and attached to the card base using ATG adhesive.  The tree was attached to the card base with mounting tape.

  1. I love the simplicity of both these cards. They would be easy to mass produce for mailing out as your annual Christmas cards. I’m especially loving the tree in the burlap bag!

  3. Good job on bringing these stamps and dies to life. Even when you think you know what they will look like on a card, they look so much better in the cards made for the hop. Well done.

  13. I liked it that you added extra branches to the tree. When I was growing up and we would get a real tree almost all the time we would buy extra branches to add to our tree (they were placed in holes my dad drilled i n the trunk)
