KC Impression Obsession Greetings 1 right

My project today was made using the Impression Obsession Greetings Clear Stamps set, the coordinating Greetings die, Small Poinsettia Set and Pine Sprig set.  I’ll have to admit that I am not the best when it comes to lining my stamps up to position the image or sentiment where I want it.  And especially sentiments!  The three stamped words on my card front today are individual stamps and the Mini MISTI made it possible for me to get them lined up perfectly on my card front.

Mini Misti 1

I used the printed face sheet of the stamp set to use as a guide to where I wanted my sentiment stamps to be placed on the card front .

Mini Misti 2

I lined up the three stamps along the lined grids of the MISTI, applied versa, stamped the images and then applied gold embossing powder. You can see in my photo below that the words stamped in a perfect straight line.

I cut the greeting sentiment using craft-a-board, applied versa and embossed with gold embossing powder.  I repeated the process two more times to create a really smooth gold looks and to add a little more dimension.  The sentiment was attached to the card base with Cosmic Glitter Glue. I loved how rich the gold embossing looked on the die cut sentiment so I decided to gold emboss the background layer of the card, the pine and the poinsettia foliage layers to match. I formed the flowers using the stylus and molding pad from my Susan’s Garden Tool Kit, attached the sections together with glossy accents.  I attached the flowers to the gold embossed foliage and attached them to the card base with glossy accents. I tucked the pine sprigs under the poinsettias and attached in place with glossy accents. I added the tiny snow pearls in the center of each flower for the finishing touch.

  1. My jaw dropped when I saw your card…..the pink and gold are perfect together. Thank you for showing how you used the stamp sheet on the MISTI for your placement of the stamp. Gold embossing on the frame, sprigs and sentiment was a great idea as it ties everything together so nicely. Absolutely my favorite card on the hop! I do not own a MISTI and IO Stamps are my favorite dies on the market so this would be such an awesome win.
