Floral Border and In Bloom

Good Tuesday afternoon.  I am off work this week and am supposed to be cleaning, straightening and purging my craft space.  Oh boy!  What a huge job.  So I decided to play with something other than Christmas for a change.  I’m usually sad to see the holidays go and putting an end to making Christmas cards but I am more ready this year. My project was made using the new Hero Arts Floral Border with Frame, Susan’s Garden Notes Hydrangea 2, Impression Obsession Foliage and Martha Stewart Hydrangea Punch.  The gorgeous paper is Scrapberry’s In Bloom and was sent to me as a gift from a my dear friend  Eva  from the Netherlands.

I decided to create a totally white frame using the Floral Border so the background paper could be the main focal point.  I cut the card base at 5.25” and attached the paper with ATG adhesive. I cut the frame layer 5.00”, centered the floral die and ran through my Big Shot.  I applied mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the card base.

I punched and die cut several hydrangea blossoms, formed them with my stylus and molding pad and attached the flowers together with glossy accents.  I cut a couple full sections of Foliage and cut them apart to arrange with the flowers.KC Hero Arts Floral Border with Frame 2 center

I attached the foliage to the frame with glossy accents and then attached the flowers.  I tucked a few more sections of foliage around the flowers to fill in.  I used Pretty Pink Posh 3mm cupped Sparkling Clear sequins in the flower centers and attached a few around the inner frame and on the frame to add an additional feminine touch to the piece.
