Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession “Not So Moody Blues” design team challenge to make blue cards. My project today was made using the Strawberry Basket, Small Flourish Background, Foliage, Bunny Set, Leaves and Stems , Tiny Flowers, Grass Border, Easter Egg Set and All-in-One Frames Rectangles 2. I enjoyed making this sweet Easter card using the soft blue Icy Mint cardstock for the frame, eggs and flowers. I love that the Stampin’ Up! Baja Breeze Taffeta ribbon (retired) in my stash matches the blue cardstock perfectly.
I attached the flourish background flat to the card base using double stick tape around the border and with a few glue dots in key spots to hold it flat. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the blue frame and attached it to the card base. I attached the grass border (it’s almost totally covered with foliage) to the back of the basket using double stick tape. Next I attached the three eggs in behind the grass and attached with double stick tape. I twined the ribbon around the handle of the basket attaching it in place every few turns with glue dots.
I cut the foliage sections into smaller branches and attached them to the front of the basket with glossy accents. I attached the multi loop bow to the foliage with glue dots. The tiny flowers were formed with my stylus and molding pad and attached them to the foliage with glossy accents. I applied pink ink to the bunny ears with a mini applicator and attached a couple tiny leaves and formed 1/8 inch circles to the his neck to dress him up. Then I tucked the bunny in behind the floral spray attaching with double layered mounting tape and then attached a few additional stems and flowers with glossy accents to fill in around him. The basket was attached to the card base using double layers of mounting tape.
Here’s a closer view of the little scene. I love the blue and white color combination with the added touches of green foliage.
