Framed Sunflower Background

Good Saturday morning. It’s several days since I have been able to be in my craft room to play.  I have lots of new Impression Obsession dies and stamp sets and couldn’t wait to play this morning.  My project today was made using the new Sunflower Background die framed using both the Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames and All-in-One Frames Rectangles 2.  The sentiment is from the new Impression Obsession Hydrangea Blooms by Pink Ink.

This was a fairly fast and easy card to put together.  I cut the sunflower background and cut a brown piece of cardstock to fit behind the center section of the flower and attached it to the back of the flower using glossy accents. I attached the sunflower background to the back of the yellow frame using double stick tape and then attached the white frame to the yellow one with double stick tape. I attached the polka dot paper to the card base using my ATG adhesive.  I applied mounting tape to the back of the framed sunflower and attached it to the card base.

I applied some sparkle to the flower center using the Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen but it doesn’t show up well in the photos.  It is so much prettier in person.  I stamped the sentiment using Gathered Twigs distress ink and then inked the edges of the sentiment layer to add a little more definition. I applied a piece of mounting tape to the back of the sentiment and used double stick tape on both sides to tuck in and attach under the frome.
