My project today is a clean and simple die cut paper flower card made using the Rubbernecker 5100-01D Small Flower Die, 5110D Small Leaf Group, 5028D Nested Rectangle Scallop and 5023D Nested Rectangle with Pierce. You can also find both the flower and leaves in the Kittie Kraft Basic bundle.
I’ve been in a clean and simple mood lately and thought a single white flower and green leaves framed in white on the Robin’s Egg base would be so pretty. The flower layers were formed using my Garden Tool Kit stylus and molding pad and attached together with glossy accents. The frame and background layers were attached to the card base using mounting tape.
The foliage and flower was attached to the card base using glossy accents. I used pre made yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops for the flower center and added a few to the background to add another element of interest. I think the yellow looks pretty with the Robin’s Egg blue. I had a bit of a hard time getting nice white photo backgrounds so everything looks a little yellow instead of crisp white.
If you are new to making die cut flowers and foliage then you may want to check out my Kittie Kraft Basics Bundle over at Rubbernecker. The set includes 5118D Leaf Group Die, 5110D Small Leaf Group, 5100-01D Small Flower Die, 5114D Mini Flower Stack Die and 5100-08D Small Butterfly Die. It’s a perfect grouping to get started making lovely floral cards with dies that can be used over and over. I’ve included the bundle link below.
Thanks for coming by today and I sure hope you have been inspired to get out your flower and foliage dies to make your own clean and simple die cut flower card.
