I have a pretty Happy Easter card with flowers to share with you today with colorful flowers and sentiment. I love the pop of color against the all white frame and card base background. My project was made using Rubbernecker’s 5140-01D Upper Case Alpha w/Stitch, 5140-02 Lower Case Alpha w/Stitch, 5132D Rectangle Combo #2 OPC Die, 5109D Mixable Flower Stack, 5114D Mini Flower Stack and 5110D Small Leaf Group. I love that the stitches in the frame match the stitches on the letters.
I began by forming the flowers using my Garden Tool Kit stylus and molding pad and attaching the layers together using glossy accents. Glossy accent is my glue of choice for layering because it holds like steel when dry. The leaves were gently shaped with my fingers.
I used double stick tape on the back side of the three frame layers to secure them in place to create one solid frame and then attached it to the card base. I applied tiny pieces of mounting tape to the back of all the letters and set them in place inside the frame. The flowers and leaves were attached to the frame using glossy accents. I finished by adding a tiny flower and leaves to the H and filled the flower centers with pre made white Nuvo Crystal Drops attached with glossy accents.
Have you played with any of the Nuvo Crystal Drops? I really love this product. I have a piece of non-tick craft sheet that I keep loaded with several different colors of drops so I have them available when I’m ready to use them. I am so inpatient and hate waiting for them to dry. Keeping them made ahead reduces the stress of “waiting”. LOL! I thought I would share the picture below even though it is not the color I used today. I had this photo from a tutorial I did a while back. The drops stay adhered to the craft sheet and are easily picked up with the tip of a paper piercer and set in place.
Have you started making Easter cards yet? Even though you may still have tons of snow on the ground where you live I hope you have been inspired to create your own Happy Easter card with flowers to brighten your day.
