Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession “Pink and Green” design team challenge. My die cut flower wreath project was made using the Impression Obsession Spring Branches, Foliage and Square Frame.
Die Cut Flower Wreath
I began by creating a 2 inch green wreath base using two nesting circle dies. I cut all the branch sections out three times each in green. Next I cut the branch sections out once in pink, purple and aqua. I trimmed off the flower sections of the green branches and then cut the flowers off the matching colored branches and attached them together using glossy accents. This allowed me to create the flowers and branches in both color and green without having to color them with markers. I like the added touch of realism and dimension by attaching the flowers and branches together. Each flower was finished by attaching a pre made white Nuvo Crystal Drop to the center with glossy accents.
I began adding and the flower branch sections to the wreath base using glossy accents until it will totally covered. I trimmed off sections of the foliage die, tucked them in around the wreath to fill in and attached the pieces with glossy accents.
Assembling the Card
A white 4.5″square layer of cardstock was attached it to the card base using strips of mounting tape. I used thin strips of mounting tape to attach the die cut frame and to the white layer. I applied a generous amount of glossy accents to the back of the wreath base and attached it to the card base. I added the white multi loop bow to finish. Check out my multi loop bow video tutorial here if you would like to see how I made this pretty bow.
