Good Sunday morning. I know it is no secret that I love making cards with paper frames and flowers. I have fallen in love with using the Rubbernecker 5131D Square Combo #1 OPC Die to create a beautiful layered frame for my projects. I paired it today with the 5112D Mixable Flower Stack, 5114D Mini Flower Stack and 5110D Small Leaf Group. Both the mini flowers and small leaves can be found grouped together in the Kittie Kraft Basics set.
Layering the Frames
I started by applying ATG adhesive to a green strip of cardstock and attached to the left side of the card base. I attached the three frame layers together using double stick tape and then attached a piece of white cardstock to the back of the frame. I attached mounting tape to the back of the frame layers, attached it to the pink layer and then popped up the whole thing to the card base using another layer of mounting tape. The center circle frame was attached with mounting tape. I think the different layers of dimension adds interest to the card.
Assembling the Flower and Foliage Arrangement
I used my needle nose pliers to form each petal on the flowers layers. I curled some of the petals forward and some backward to create a more natural looking flower. I used my large stylus and molding pad to gently push down on the center of each layer to push the flower layers up. The flower layers were attached together using glossy accents. I arranged the leaves and flower in the center of the circular frame and attached them in place with glossy accents. I formed several smaller flowers using my small tipped stylus and molding pad and attached them to the leaves using glossy accents. I finished by adding a single pearl to the flower center. The pink cardstock that I used for the flowers and layering was made using retired Stampin’ Up! Regal Rose so I was not able to link to it.
I sure do appreciate you coming by today and hope you have a great week. Get your dies and cardstock out and create your own paper frames and flowers card project and attach a link in the comments. I would love to see what yo come up with.
