I have a pretty die cut wheelbarrow filled with flower pots to share with you today made using garden dies from the new Rubbernecker May release. Before I start my post description I want to make a correction to to an error on my Monday Memorial Day Sales post and clarify that I am an affiliate with several different companies and when you click and purchase from items linked on my blog I make a small commission at “NO” extra charge to you. I use these commissions made to help me cover the cost of publishing my blog posts. I am sorry for the confusion on my Monday post and I want to thank all of you who notified me regarding the error. I sure do appreciate it.
I have had so much fun this spring coloring the flower pots and wheelbarrow and using them as the main focal images for scenes. I think these bright and pots filled with flowers are perfect for any occasion and especially for people who love gardening and I love how the colors pop against the white framing.
Coloring the Die Cut Wheelbarrow and Flower Pots
I cut the wheelbarrow using gray Alpaca cardstock. I added the appearance of rust, wear and tear to the gray wheelbarrow by applying Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo inks using mini applicators. I colored the wheel and handles using a black Copic marker. I cut the flower pots using Sour Lemon cardstock and used the same three inks to color the images and the yellow cardstock showed through the ink shading to create the appearance of terracotta.
Creating the Flower Stems
I cut the stems using Easter Grass cardstock and the tiny flowers using Sour Lemon, Sour Grape, Robin’s Egg and Cotton Candy cardstock. I formed the flowers using my small tipped stylus and molding pad and then attached the flowers to the stems using glossy accents. I arranged and attached the flower stems to the back of the pots using glossy accents.
Completing the Scene
I cut the grass using Easter Grass cardstock and attached it to the back of the white frame using double stick tape. I cut a piece of Icy Mint cardstock and attached it to the scalloped layer using double stick tape and then attached both layers to the white card base using mounting tape. I attached strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the blue layer. I attached two flower pots in behind the wheelbarrow and then attached them to the card base using mounting tape. I attached the two flower filled pots and empty pots to the front of the grass and frame and attached with mounting tape. I tucked several flower stems in behind the grass and attached with glossy accents. I attached two Robin’s Egg birds to the scene with mounting tape for the finishing touch.
I sure hope you are having a good week and I appreciate you coming by. Do you have gardening dies? I hope I have inspired you to create your own die cut wheelbarrow filled with flower pots scene card.

This is SO LOVELY, Kittie! I LOOOOVE how you’ve added your shading on the pieces, & let me tell you, you just get BETTER at this! What a GORGEOUS PIECE! I LOVE that little bird on the side of the wheelbarrow too! SUPER JOB!!!!!!!! 😉
Kittie I love this. I really like how you make the wheel barrel and the pots look so worn with the distress inks and color background card that you use. It looks like it just came that color!!! I really need to find another way to tell you how much I enjoy your cards!! LOL!!!!
