I had lots of fun making this framed die cut bird house scene card using several of the new Rubbernecker May release dies. I really like the three different sizes and shapes of the houses in the set. The larger house works great to create as a the main focal point on a card front. The smaller ones work perfectly in scenes with lots of other images surrounding it. I have made lots of bird house projects over the years and thought I would list a link here for you.
The Frame and Tree Panel
I cut the tree panel and cut it apart to fit in the frames. I attached the tree sections to the back of the frame using double stick tape and then applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the white scene base.
Assembling the Bird Houses
I cut the bird houses out using woodgrain and red cardstock. I assembled the pieces together using double stick tape and small pieces of mounting tape.
The Flowers and Birds
I formed the tiny flowers using the smallest stylus tip that I own along with my molding pad. I cut the birds and added touches of black on the beak of each bird using a black Copic marker.
Completing the Frame Die Cut Bird Scene
The bird houses were attached to the card base using mounting tape. I added tiny pieces of foliage to the roof tops and openings using glossy accents and embellished with tiny flowers. I used glossy accents to attach tiny flowers all around the tree panels and finished the scene by attaching several birds to the scene using small pieces of mounting tape.
I sure do appreciate you coming by and I hope you are having a good week. I hope you are inspired to get out your dies to create your own framed die cut bird house scene card.

Love it, like the four panels, sweet bird houses and the neat texture on the frame!!
I am having a wonderful KittyKraft-Fest day today. I haven’t been visiting the blogs regularly and I was really missing out on all your beautiful posts. So today since I am under the weather and the house is empty, I am enjoying your gorgeous work and commenting. I hope you don’t mind.
This one is such a sweet design! The wood grain paper is such a fun way to make the birdhouses! I love it. The bright red blossoms and birds show up so pretty against the blue sky and green leaves. Another perfect design!
Thank you so much for sharing and brightening my day! 🙂
