Good Thursday morning. My project today is a die cut mermaid scene made using Impression Obsession dies. I had lots of fun creating this underwater scene and adding sparkle to the images. I used the Sea Life Frame, Mermaids, Mini Shell Set and Tiny Flowers.
The Frame and Background
I started by creating the light blue background by applying blue ink to the white card base using an ink blending tool. I cut the frame, applied think strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the card base.
Coloring the Mermaids and Shells
I applied colors and shading to the images using mini applicators . I applied glitter glue to the fins of the mermaids and shells and then sprinkled with clear glitter. I applied a glittery shine to the hair and tiny flowers using a sparkle pen.
Completing the Die Cut Mermaid Scene
I attached the mermaids to the card base using strips of mounting tape. The mini shells were attached using pieces of mounting tape and rolled up glue dots. I finished by adding three tiny pink flowers to the scene using glossy accents.
I had lots of fun making this die cut mermaid scene. I feel like I’m looking through the frame into the mermaid show at Weeki Wachee Springs here in Florida. Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great day.
