Good Friday morning. I have a pretty paper flower wreath card to share with you today made using Rubbernecker 5131D Square Combo #1 OPC, 5120D Circle Stitch One Piece Combined, 5147-05D Flower Stems, 5114D Mini Flower Stack. Check out my Wreath tutorial if you would like to see step by step pictures of the basic steps I use to create a foliage wreath. You can also see my Evergreen Wreath video on Splitcoaststampers showing I make a Christmas holiday wreath.
The Wreath
I started by cutting the smallest circle frame out of the Circle Stitch One Piece die to use as the base of the wreath and cut several sections of the Flower Stems. I began attaching the stems to the base using glossy accents. I used a set pattern when attaching the stems to create an even wreath. The pattern started with one stem left, one stem right and one stem straight. I repeated this pattern all the way around the circle base. When I was almost all the way around I had to lift up the first foliage stems that I had attached so I could attach the final stems underneath them to complete the wreath.
The Flowers
I cut several sections of the Mini Flower Stack and formed them using my stylus and molding pad. I arranged and attached the flowers randomly around the wreath base until they filled the wreath.
The Frame
I cut the Square Combo frames, turned them face down and attached the two sections together using double stick tape. I cut a white layer and attached it to the back of the frame using strips of mounting tape. The frame and white layer were attached to the larger green layer using mounting tape and then they were attached to the card base using double stick tape.
Finishing the Paper Flower Wreath Card
I applied a heavy layer of glossy accents to the back of the wreath and attached it to the card base. I used my paper piecer to push down on the wreath in several spots to make sure it was secured in place. I made a white organdy multi loop bow and attached it to the wreath using glue dots for the finishing touch.
Do you have flower and stem dies and/or punches to use to create your own paper flower wreath card? I hope you’ll try making a mini wreath of your own. They are not hard to make and they are so pretty on a card front. Thanks for coming by today and I sure hope you have a great day and upcoming weekend.
