Good Monday morning. I have a rusty old truck with flowers scene card to share with you today. I’ve loved this Old Truck by Rubbernecker and have made lots of scene cards with it over the years. I thought it would be fun to create a summery floral scene and pair it with the Tree Panel, Tiny Flower Buds, Flower Stems, Grass and Small Birds. The frame was made using the Rectangle Stitched OPC die.
The Truck
I secured icy Mint cardstock and the truck stamp in my MISTI, applied black versafine ink and stamped the image twice. I applied clear embossing powder and heated to set the ink. I used a mini applicator to apply touches of Rusty Hinge ink to areas on the truck to create an old appearance. I used a craft knife to cut out the windows and then cut out the trucks. I cut the main portion of the truck away from the tires and attached it using rolled up glue dots over the wheel sections from the second truck that I stamped.
The Truck Bed Flowers
I cut several flower stems and a red and white tiny flower buds. I formed all the flowers using the smallest stylus tip and molding and then attached several flowers to each of the stems using glossy accents. I cut a slit in the truck bed using my craft knife and tucked several of the flower filled stems in between the truck bed slit and attached them using glossy accents.
The Frame, Tree and Grass
I cut the frames and attached them together on the back using double stick tape. I cut the tree panel, cut it apart and colored the branches using a brown Copic marker. I attached one section of the tree panel to the top back of the frame along with a grass section on the bottom of the frame. I attached mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the blue sky layer.
Completing the Old Truck with Flowers Scene
I tucked the truck in behind the grass and attached with mounting tape. I cut the remaining portion of the tree panel branches apart and attached them in behind the grass with glossy accents. I added flowers to the branches to fill in the scene. The birds were added for the finishing touch.
I hope you have been inspired to get out your stamps and dies to create your won old truck with flowers scene project. I always have so much fun creating fun scenes like this.

Another great one. You can’t go wrong with flowers in a card!
Kittie, you have always done such a great job with the trucks…making them old…this one a little different as it is showing the rear of the truck and full of beautiful flowers along with the soaring birds…you never let us down my friend.
