Good Saturday morning. I have a pretty card with a die cut snow scene with deer to share with you today made using the newly released Impression Obsession Spotted Deer Frame paired with Fir Trees and the Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames.
Coloring The Spotted Deer Frame
The Spotted Deer Frame comes with the tree branches, deer, cardinals and sun all attached together and cut out with one single piece of cardstock. I used white cardstock to the whole image and then cut the cardinals again using red cardstock and the sun using yellow cardstock. I used a walnut Copic marker to color the tree branches and Antique Linen and Vintage Photo ink to color the deer. I cut the red cardinals and sun pieces away from the branches and attached them over the branch base.
Applying White Embossing Paste to Images
I cut several fir trees using green cardstock. I applied white embossing paste to the trees using a small spatula and set them aside to dry. Next, I applied white embossing paste to the branches of the trees and set them aside to dry.
The Frame, Deer Frame and Snow Layers
I hand cut two white snow layers using my deckle scissors and cut the scalloped frame using red cardstock. I applied double stick tape to the lower portion of the scalloped frame and attached the first snow layer. Next I applied double stick tape all the way around the back of the frame, trimmed the Spotted Deer Frame to fit behind the scalloped frame and then attached it. I finished this step by attaching the second snow layer behind the deer using double stick tape.
Completing the Die Cut Winter Scene with Deer
I created a pale blue cloud scene on the white card base using Tumbled Glass ink, a cloud stencil and an ink blending tool. I attached the large fir tree to the card base using double stick tape on the lower portion of the tree and a small piece of mounting tape on the top of the tree. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the scene frame and attached it to the card base. I finished the scene by attaching smaller fir trees to the scene using pieces of mounting tape.
Thanks so much for coming by today and I hope you have enjoyed seeing my die cut snow scene with deer using Impression Obsession dies.
