Good Sunday morning. I have a die cut window and poinsettia project to share with you today using dies by Rubbernecker Stamps. The Window and Nested Rectangle Scallop w/Holes creates interest and a dimensional base that adds interest to the Poinsettia, Holly and Greenery arrangement. I love how the bright red and green pop against the all white background.
The Window and Rectangle Base
- Cut the window and rectangle using white cardstock.
- Apply thin strips of mounting tape on the back of the rectangle layer and attach it to the card base.
- Apply thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the window and attach it to the rectangle base layer.
The Poinsettia
- Cut the poinsettia sections out using red cardstock.
- Cut a couple of the largest flower sections out using green cardstock.
- Cut the tiny flower sections out using yellow cardstock.
- Place the flower sections face down on the molding pad and form the petals using the large round stylus from the Garden Tool Kit and molding pad.
- Place the flower sections face up on the molding pad and push down in the center of each using the small tipped stylus to push all the petals up.
- Attach the flower sections together using glossy accents, beginning with the large green sections and offsetting each section to create a natural looking flower.
- Form the tiny yellow flowers with the small tipped stylus and molding pad and attach them in the flower center using glossy accents.
- Apply the sparkle to the tiny flowers using the clear overlay pen.
The Holly and Greenery
- Cut the holly and greenery using green cardstock.
- Cut the holly berry section using red cardstock.
- Pick up the berries using a jewel picker and attach them to the holly berry base using glossy accents.
- Apply the sparkle clear overlay to the berries.
- Gently form the holly leaves using the large stylus and molding pad.
Die Cut Window and Poinsettia
- Attach the poinsettia to the window using glossy accents.
- Tuck the holly sections under the poinsettia and attach with glossy accents. Note: I cut some of the holly sections apart to create the size of branches that I wanted for the arrangement.
- Fill in the arrangement with the greenery and attach with glossy accents.
I would love to have a dollar for every poinsettia project I have made over the years. I remember making lots and lots of the die cut window and poinsettia cards the first year the window dies became available. Do you already have poinsettia and window dies in your stash? If not you will want to check out these sets. I especially love how natural looking this poinsettia is. I sure do appreciate you coming by and I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Yes, indeed, Kittie, you have made many cards with windows and the Poinsettia through the years….and they are prettier each time. And always a different spin on it. I know we all made so many with the window dies when they first came out…so many ideas with them. This is lovely. The dies are more realistic aren’t they.
Absolutely gorgeous arrangement, beautiful shading too!
