Today I’m sharing this snowy holiday pop up box card and lots, lots more. Several of the dies I used on my card are part of the new Rubbernecker Stamps die release that are available on the site today. Scroll down below my first picture to see links to all the new dies. I have had a great time this past week playing with these new dies and can’t wait to show you what I’ve come up with.

For my holiday pop up box card I used the Winter Lamp Post, Park Bench, Evergreen Trees, Cardinals, Wrought Iron Fence, Deckle Hills, Greenery #2, Tiny Leaves and Splatter Background.
Assemble the 3D Pop Up Box Base
- Cut the layering pieces. The designer paper I used is from the Carta Bella Snow Much Fun collection and the snow sky layers were made using Splatter Background and blue cardstock.
- 2 5 5/8″ x 3 5/8″ layers
- 2 3 5/8″ x 2 3/4″ layers
- 4 1 7/8″ x 2 3/4″ layers
- Attach the paper layers to the inside and outside card base using ATG adhesive.
- Apply 1/2″ double stick tape to the tab, line it up and secure the box closed.
- Cut the white snow sections to fit the tabs included in the kit and attach them with ATG adhesive.
- Apply 1/2″ double stick tape to the tabs on both sides and insert them inside the box.
- Note: I use the Be Creative double stick tape on the tabs because it is much stronger than the ATG adhesive. I like to use the ATG adhesive on layering paper because it is fast and easy.
The Evergreen Trees
- Cut the evergreen trees using green cardstock.
- Stamp each tree using the Splatter Background and white pigment ink.
- Apply white embossing powder to the trees and heat emboss with your heat gun.
- Attach the trees along the back box wall using mounting tape.
- Tuck additional trees in between the snow layers and attach them using glossy accents.

The Lamp Posts and Bench
- Use black cardstock to cut six (6) lamp posts and three (3) benches.
- Create strength for each lamp post by attaching three layers together using Connect Glue.
- Attach the three benches together using Connect glue.
- Note: I knew it would be tricky getting the tall lamp posts to stand and stay stable so that is the reason I layered them as well as the bench.
- Attach the snowy white accessory pieces and holly decorations to the lamps using Connect Glue.
- Apply white Gesso paint to the bench using a small brush to snow.
- Apply glossy accents to the bottom portion of the lamp posts and the legs of the bench and attach them to the white snow layer.
The Wrought Iron Fence and Snow Layers
- Cut white snow layers using white cardstock and fence sections using black cardstock.
- Apply double stick tape to the back of the snow layers and attach the fence sections.
- Attach the snow layers and fence sections to the box flaps using double stick tape.
- Tuck trees in behind the snow layers and attach using mounting tape.
- Attach greenery branches behind the snow layers and fence sections and attach using glossy accents.
- Finish the card by adding red bows and cardinals.
