Some people struggle with how to make 3D paper flowers that are pretty for cards, gifts and even home decor. I was THRILLED to try out the new Organic Shapeable Daisy die set from Rubbernecker”s March Die Release and I know that once you get your hands on this set you aren’t EVER going to want to stop making these gorgeous 3D flowers! Today I’m going to share two cards that show very different flowers using the same set.
Forming the Flower 1
The flower in this set comes with three sections of flower petals, foliage, stamen and tiny flowers. I used multiple layers of the flowers to create my 3D flower.
- Cut the flower sections using bright pink paper.
- Curl the flower petals in around needle nose pliers.
- Push down in the center of each flower section using a stylus and molding pad.
- Attach the flower layers together using glossy accents.
- Cut the flower center section four times, form them with a small tipped stylus and molding pad.
- Attach the stamen to the flower center using glossy accents.
- Cut the foliage sections using green cardstock.
- Attach the flower and foliage to the card base using glossy accents.
Forming the Flower 2
This time I formed the flower with the rounded petals curled back. It’s a totally different looking flower from the first card. This time I only used the
- Cut the flower sections using pale pink cardstock and the flower center and tiny flowers using yellow cardstock.
- Lay the flower sections face down on the molding pad and form the petals using the large round stylus.
- Turn the flower sections face up on the molding pad and push down in the flower center to push the petals up.
- Attach the flower layers together using glossy accents.
- Form the flower center around the small tipped stylus and attach to the flower center using glossy accents.
- Form the tiny flower using a small tipped stylus and molding pad and attach them to the flower center using glossy accents.
- Cut the foliage using green cardstock.
- Attach the flower and foliage to the card base using glossy accents.
- The sentiment is from my new Kittie Says Phrases #1 set.
