Framed Die Cut Flower Pot

Today I’m sharing a framed die cut flower pot full of flowers using the Rubbernecker Rectangle Combo #3 paired with the Nested Rectangle w/Holes, Tall Terracotta Pots, Small Ivy, Small Flowers #3 and Small Butterflies.  All the decorative white layers of the frame add interest and dimension and still allows the flower pot to be the main focal image.  I think the tiny pink butterflies are the perfect touch to finish this feminine card.

I'm sharing a framed die cut flower pot using several dies by Rubbernecker. Click on the picture to come over to see how I made this pretty card.

The Layered Frame Card Base

  • Cut the Rectangle Combo frames and the Rectangle Scallop layers using white cardstock.
  • Turn the frames face down and attach the layers together using double stick tape.
  • Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the frames and attach them to the smaller white scallop layer.
  • Cut a pink rectangle layer to fit behind the frames and attach them together using double stick tape.
  • Attach the frame and scallop layers to the largest scallop layer using double stick tape.
  • Finish the card base by attaching the completed frame layers to the white card base using strips of mounting tape.
  • Note:  I love that the scallop with hole theme gets carried on from the oval frame opening to the last layer on the card.

Layered frames are perfect to hightlight a small focal image. Click on the picture to come over and see how I made this lovely card.

The Pot of Flowers

  • Cut the terracotta pot using yellow cardstock.
  • Color the pot using a mini applicator and Color Fuse Set #2 inks.
  • Use green cardstock to cut the ivy and pink cardstock to cut the small flowers.
  • Form the flowers using a small tipped stylus and molding pad.
  • Arrange and attach the ivy to the back of the pot using glossy accents.  Attach one ivy branch hanging down over the font of the pot.
  • Attach the flowers to the ivy branches using glossy accents.
  • Apply a piece of mounting tape to the back of the pot and attach it to the card base.
  • Attach three tiny pink butterflies to the frame using glossy accents.
  • Attach pre made white Tonic Nuvo Crystal Drops to each butterfly using glossy accents.
  • Finish the card by cutting thin strips of pink cardstock to use a ribbon tails, gently form them with your fingers and tuck them in under the ivy and attach i place with glossy accents.

I love to use layered frames to highlight a small focal image. Click on the picture to come over to my blog and see how I made this lovely card.
