Another Slimline Beach Card!

I am just LOVING these beach toy and accessories dies from Rubbernecker and I just had to make another slimline beach card. I love that this Wonky Squares slimline insert die gives such a playful feel to this card and gives me three perfectly sized windows for three tiny scenes!

For this card I used the Slimline Solid Deckle, Slimline Inside Wonky Square, Sand Toys, Sand Castle, Deckle Hills, Waves, and Small Birds.

A cheerful slimline beach card made all from innovative die cuts from Rubbernecker

The Slimline Frame and Card Base

  • Cut the 3.50″ x 8.50″ card base using yellow cardstock and score lengthwise at 3.50″.
  • Use aqua cardstock to cut a 3.25″ x 8.25″ rectangle layer and attach to the card base using ATG adhesive.
  • Cut the solid slimline using yellow cardstock, place it back on the cutting platform, line up the inside slimline die and run though the machine a second time.
  • Use Kraft cardstock to cut the sand layers and aqua cardstock to cut the waves.
  • Attach the sand layer and waves to the back of the frame using ATG adhesive.
  • Cut a 2.25″ x 7.00″ strip of white cardstock and apply light blue ink to create a sky background to fit behind the frame openings.
  • Attach the sky layer to the back of the frame using strips of mounting tape.
  • Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the slimline frame and attach it to the card base.

This slimline beach card was made using all new cardmaking dies from Rubbernecker to create those three individual mini-scenes on one card

The Sand Castle, Beach Toys and Birds

  • Cut the sand castle using Kraft cardstock, assemble the pieces and attach them together using rolled up ropes of double stick tape.rolled double stick tape 2
  • Attach a small piece of mounting tape to the back of the sand castle, tuck it in behind the sand layer and attach it to the card base.
  • Cut the beach toys using red, yellow and white cardstock.
  • Attach the pieces together using glossy accents.
  • Tuck the bucket and beach ball in behind the sand and waves and attach with small pieces of mounting tape.
  • Cut the birds using white cardstock, apply light gray ink to the wings using a mini applicator and attach to the frame using tiny pieces of mounting tape.
