Handmade Cards for Golfers-Rubbernecker Sale

Many of you know I live in Florida and people down here play a lot of golf so, for me, handmade cards for golfers are needed more than you would think! If you live in an area where golf is a big thing OR know someone for whom golf is their calling, this card would be a total hit!  To make this card I used the Golf Cart, Golf Bag and Flag, Mountains, Evergreen Trees, Slimline Clouds and Small Birds.

The Card Base, Mountains and Clouds

• Cut an A2 sized card base using white cardstock. and score.
• Apply masking take around the edges.
• Apply light blue ink to the sky area using a large blender brush. Note:  I like to protect the edges of the cardstock with masking tape when I apply color using a large blender brush.  If not, the brush creates a darker color on edge that leaves the card looking a little messy.
• Cut two sections of the mountains using green cardstock.
• Apply ATG adhesive to the back mountain layer and attach it to the card base.
• Apply mounting tape to the back of the front mountain layer and attach it to the card base.
• Use white cardstock to cut the cloud layer, cut to fit the card and attach it using strips of mounting tape.

The Golf Cart and Golf Bag

• Cut the golf cart and bag using three coordinating colors.
• Cut the tires using black cardstock and the golf clubs using grey cardstock.
• Assemble the main base pieces of the cart and attach using glossy accents.
• Use rolled double stick tape to attach the fenders to the cart base.
• Finish by assembling the tire and covers and attach them together and to the cart using glossy accents.
• Assemble the golf bag sections and golf clubs and attach using glossy accents.
• Color the top portion of the golf bag with a black marker.

Finish the Handmade Card for Golfers

• Cut one set of evergreen trees and color the trunks using a brown marker.
• Apply mounting tape to the back of the trees and attach to the card base.
• Cut the flag and stick using red and white cardstock and attach the sections together using glossy accents.
• Use green cardstock to cut the hole, tuck the flag stick into the hole and attach using glossy accents.
• Apply glossy accents to the back of the hole and a piece of mounting tape to the flag and attach them to the card base.
• Attach the golf cart to the card base using pieces of mounting tape.
• Cut the birds using mustard cardstock, lightly shade the birds with orange ink and color their beaks using a black marker.
• Apply small pieces of mounting tape to the back of the birds and attach them to the card base.
• Use glossy accents to attach a 1/8″ punched white circle close to the hole for the finishing touch.

I just love how Rubbernecker adds all those incredible details to their dies so YOU can look like the genius!
