After the holidays we often need to make DIY Christmas thank you cards. I like to make cards that are fast and easy to make in multiples and with a touch of Christmas flair but without going overboard. Creating this clean and simple line of evergreen trees with the sentiment is lovely on it’s own. Adding the touch of red with the background layer and the single red bird brings in the touch of Christmas. These two cards together only took me about twenty minutes. I used the
Rubbernecker Nested Rectangle Scallop with Holes, Moose Set (trees), Kittie Says Phrases #1 and Small Birds.
DIY Christmas Thank You Card
Create an A2 sized card base using white cardstock.
Cut the scallop layer using white cardstock and the background layer using red cardstock.
Stamp the sentiment and trees using green ink.
Apply mounting tape to the back of the stamped layer and attach it to the red layer.
Attach both layers to the card base using ATG adhesive.
Cut a small bird using red cardstock and attach it to the card front using a small piece of mounting tape.
Making DIY Christmas thank you cards doesn’t have to be a chore and are lots more impressive for the recipient than store bought cards. Do you make your own thank you cards after the holidays? Do you like small sentiments on your card fronts? I do. I chose my Kittie Says sentiment set because I like the simplicity. Check out this link to see how I’ve used several of the sentiments from the set.
