It’s Never Too Early For Spring Card Ideas!

If you are over the winter, check out this example of fresh spring card ideas!

IS it too early for spring card ideas? I don’t think so! Spring is such a pretty season and I know that, even though I live in Florida where it doesn’t get too cold, I always look forward to Spring. Plus, this card is just pretty, spring vibe or not!

For this card I used the Garden Boots, Half Tree, Large Garden Fence, Grass, Tiny Leaves #2, Leaves and Greenery, Small Flowers #3, Tiny Flower Buds and Garden Tools.

today's spring card ideas with soft, pretty flowers in the background and in die cut details along with adorable garden boots and tools

Card Base, Fence and Grass

  • Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base.
  • Cut a 5.50″ x 4.25″ piece off designer paper and attach it to the card base using ATG adhesive.
  • Use white cardstock to cut two sections of the Large Garden Fence, overlap one section over the other and attach them together using glossy accents.
  • Apply double stick tape to the bottom back  of the fence sections and a piece of mounting tape to the back of a few of the pickets and attach the fence to the card base.  Pro Tip:  Attaching the bottom of the fence flat to the card base reduces bulk.  Attaching a couple pieces of mounting tape to the back of a few pickets will hold the fence away to create dimension.
  • Use green cardstock to cut one Grass section of grass, apply a strip of mounting tape to the back of the grass and attach it to the front of the fence.

Tree, Leaves and Flowers

  • Use Kraft cardstock to cut the Half Tree and color it with a wet baby wipe and brown ink.
  • Dry the ink on the tree with your heat gun.  Pro Tip:  Adhesives don’t stick well to the cardstock when the ink is wet.

Baby Wipe Tree Inking

  • Use green cardstock to cut two sections of the Tiny Leaves #2 and place them face up on the molding pad.
  • Form the leaves using a leaf tool or with your fingers.
  • Attach the leaves to the branches using touches of glossy accents.  Pro Tip:  Using reverse tweezers makes easy work out of picking up and attaching small pieces.
  • Use pink cardstock to cut the Tiny Flower Buds and place them face up on the molding pad.
  • Form the flowers by pushing down in the center using a tiny tipped stylus.
  • Attach the flowers to the leaves using glossy accents.
  • Apply a thin strip of mounting tape to the back of the tree trunk and a few tiny pop dots to the back of a leaves in a few key spots.
  • Tuck the tree trunk in behind the fence and attach it to the card base.

  1. Good morning! Your card is so cheerful and full of hope as I sit with -20c temps outside and so much snow and ice. I have some gardening friends who would appreciate this as well. I love the little gardening tools and the background with the abundance of flowers behind the blossoms on the tree. Love the little green boots all ready for the mucky days coming.
Thank you so much for sharing! 🙂

  3. Thank you for sharing your adorable Spring card(s).
Have you considered a bundle package with several creative options idea sheet included?
Will you be offering a Spring sale that would provide a more affordable opportunity to purchase each die for this card?
Im a big fan as my husband actually pulled me into your booth during the Atlanta Expo. Our family loved receiving your winter snowy z-fold with the deer at Christmas.
