I have LOTS of birdhouse card ideas to share with you!
I find it very interesting that lots of people love birdhouses, especially going into the Spring, but I don’t see too many birdhouse card ideas out there. So I decided to make some to share! Lucky for all of us, Rubbernecker just released a fabulous new birdhouse card die set and it’s fabulous! It has three different size and style birdhouses and they are all so cute! Let me share all the fun new things with you and how to make this card step by step.
To make this pretty spring card I used the newly released Large Birdhouse, Inside Scallop Frames, Tiny Flowers #2, Old Wooden Cart (foliage) Grass and Birds. The sentiment is from the Kittie Says Spring Time.
Card Base, Frame and Grass
- Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base and the Inside Scallop Frame.
- Cut three sections of Grass using green cardstock.
- Line up the frame over the card base to measure where you want the sentiment to be stamped.
- Secure the sentiment stamp and card base in the MISTI and stamp using brown ink.
- Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame.
- Attach one grass section directly to the mounting tape on the back of the frame.
- Attach a second grass section directly to the card base using ATG adhesive.
- Finish by adding the third grass layer to the front of the frame using a strip of mounting tape and then attach the frame to the card base.
Birdhouse Assembly
- Use aqua and brown cardstock to cut the Large Birdhouse parts.
- Apply rolled up double stick tape to the back of the roof and floor base and attach them to the birdhouse.
- Cover the whole of the birdhouse using a piece of brown cardstock to the back of the birdhouse using mounting tape.
- Attach the post of the birdhouse using a strip of mounting tape.
- Apply a large piece of mounting tape to the back of the birdhouse and attach it to the card base.
Flowers, Foliage and Birds
- Use pink, yellow and aqua cardstock to cut sets of the Tiny Flowers #2.
- Place the tiny flowers on the molding pad and form them using a tiny tipped stylus.
- Cut a few sections of foliage from the Old Wooden Cart set.
- Attach the flowers to to the foliage sections using glossy accents.
- Attach two of the straight sections of foliage to the birdhouse and post using glossy accents.
- Tuck the three larger sections of foliage and flowers in behind the grass and attach using glossy accents.
- Cut the Birds using yellow cardstock and attach them to the grass, sky area and birdhouse.
