Check out the details on this slimline Father’s Day tool box card!
I had SUCH a blast adding all the realistic details on this fabulous Father’s Day tool box card and I can only imagine how the dads who may receive this card will feel when they see them all. Never fear, though! I am sharing loads of details and PRO TIPS to help you recreate all the rich and realistic touches so read on and know that you CAN make this card!
Slimline Card Base
Use white cardstock to cut an 8.50″ x 7.00″ card base, place it on the Scor-Pal with the 7.00″ side along the top of the board and score down the center at 3.50″.
Use red and white cardstock to cut the two largest dies from the Slimline Nested Stitch set.
Secure the white layer and Dad Phrases sentiment in the MISTI, apply black ink to the stamp and stamp the sentiment.
Apply ATG adhesive to the back of the white layer and attach it to the larger red layer.
Adhere strips of mounting tape to the back of the layers and attach them to the card base.
Tool Box and Tools
Use woodgrain cardstock to cut the Tool Box pieces.
Color the tool box parts using a wet baby wipe and brown ink.
Attach the pieces together using glossy accents.
Use red and metallic gray cardstock to cut the Tools. Note: I used a retired Cuttle Bug embossing folder to emboss the red cardstock to add texture before cutting the tools.
Adhere the tool sections together using glossy accents.
Finish the Card
Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the tool box.
Connect four of the tools to the mounting tape on the back of the tool box. Pro Tip: Attaching the tools to strips of mounting tape on the back of the tool box creates dimension and interest.
Apply double stick tape to the back of the tools and attach the whole tool box to the card base.
Use small pieces of mounting tape to attach the remaining tools to the card base.

How do we make an envelope for this card?
Thanks for asking, Melissa. This card will fit in a standard #10 sized business envelope. I sure hope this helps.
