Cute and fast and fun to make, this die cut snowman winter scene card is perfect for any winter occasion!
I just love the way this die cut snowman winter scene card turned out and it was so easy to make. I did use several dies – the Rubbernecker Shed, Shed Winter Add On, Half Tree, Winter Snowmen, Deckle Hills, Greenery #1 – but you can see how you can substitute other things if you want. For the background, I used a pattern from the Rubbernecker Wintery Woodlands 6×6 Paper Pad and I love how it creates a moody, night time look. Want to see how I put it together?
Card Base, Tree and Snow
- Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base and red cardstock to cut a 5.50″ x 4.25″ base layer.
- Attach the red base layer to the card base using ATG adhesive.
- Cut a 5.25″ x 4.00″ designer paper layer from the Wintery Woodlands 6×6 Paper Pad and attach it to the card base using ATG adhesive.
- Use white cardstock to cut the Half Tree and Deckle Hills snow layer.
- Stamp the sentiment on the snow layer using gray ink.
- Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the tree and snow layer and attach them to the card base.
The Little Winter House
- Use red and white cardstock to cut the Shed sections.
- Attach the red and white roof sections together using glossy accents and attach to the roof top using rolled up double stick tape ropes.
- Use white cardstock to cut the Shed Accessories window section.
- Line up the window die over the door, secure it in place with masking tape and cut.
- Insert the window inside the door opening and attach them together on the back using double stick tape.
- Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of the door and attach it to the house base. Pro Tip: Attaching the door with mounting tape adds just the perfect touch of dimension to show off the window.
- Tuck the shed behind the snow layer and attach in place with pieces of mounting tape.
The Cute Die Cut Snowman
- Use white, red, black and gray cardstock to cut out the Winter Snowman sections.
- Assemble and attach all the snowman sections together using glossy accents.
- Apply mounting tape to the top back section of the snowman and glossy accents to the lower section and attach him to the card base.
- Cut a few sprigs of Greenery #1 using white cardstock, tuck them in behind the snow layer and attach using glossy accents.
- Finish the scene by attaching a single snowball to the hand of the snowman and a pile of snowballs on the ground. Pro Tip: Adding tiny details like the snowballs adds an additional touch of interest to a scene.
Here are the things I used to make this project:

You don’t have to make your die cut snowman winter scene card the same way I did mine – you can swap out what you have for what I used, use different colors or even change up the scene entirely by using two snowmen, no snowman or another die cut element. The great thing about card making is that you can make it your own any way you want and it will still be a labor of love and really mean something special to anyone who is lucky enough to receive it!
Absolutely adorable Kittie!
Thank you, Christine!
I just love this fabulous scene you have come up with, right down to the snowball in his hand 🙂
Thank you, Connie! I always appreciate your comments.
Thank you so much, Connie!
