You will never believe how fast and easy this handmade slimline teddy bear birthday card is to make – come see the secret!

I am guessing when you look at this handmade slimline teddy bear birthday card you are envisioning lots of stamping, water coloring, fussy cutting, and arranging. And I am SO excited to tell you that this whole card was made with just paper and die cuts. Yes, even those precious little teddy bears and all their festive accessories! They are from the genius design of the Rubbernecker Birthday Bear Slimline Paper Pad where you can cut out the pre-printed designs with coordinating dies and the Slimline One Piece Scallop die for the frame. That’s IT! And when I tell you they are just so gorgeous…..the coloring is simply fantastic and the designs are the perfect size to stand alone or be grouped together for an instant paper party. Is that not the cutest thing? And it’s all made with a simple spin through your die cutting machine! Prepare yourself for how incredibly easy this card is to make!

Card Base and Frame

• Use white cardstock to cut an 8.50″ x 7.00″ white layer to use for the slimline card base.
• Place the layer on the Scor-Pal with the 7.00″ side up and score at the 3.50″ mark.
• Cut the Slimline One Piece Scallop frame using white cardstock.
• Apply strips of mounting tape around the outer frame borders and in between the frame openings and attach it to the card base.

Birthday Bear Images

• Pull one sheet of the pre-colored birthday bear images from the pad.
• Loosely cut around the images making sure to leave enough border for die cutting.
• Line up the coordinating dies over the images, secure them in place with masking tape and run through the die cutting machine.  Pro Tip:  I placed several of the images and dies on my cutting platform and ran them through all at once.
• Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of the images and attach them to the card base.

I am still a little amazed that I was able to make this handmade slimline teddy bear birthday card in as little time as it took! It has me hoping that Rubbernecker makes more of these Paper Pads because as much as I love making my ornate cards, being able to make something this sweet and adorable in so little time was a fun change!
