Today’s gold, white and pink handmade card is just perfect to make for your sweetheart and it’s fast and easy thanks to a new die and patterned paper!
We often think of the classic red and white for Valentine’s day or for love cards. Today I want to share a softer take – this gold, white and pink handmade card has just enough specialness from the touches of gold and the new Birds in Love die from Brass & Bliss make putting this card together a snap!
Thanks to the incredible details in the die, though, making this card is also super simple!
First, I cut this sweet pink and white striped paper from the new Heart Strings Paper Pad with its pops of gold to card front size and adhered it to a top fold white card base.
I cut a piece of white card stock with the Birds in Love die, a few sprigs from white card stock scraps using the Branches and Leaves die and used the smallest die from the Stacked Hearts die to cut scraps of white and pink card stock.
I colored the wing die cuts, the white die cut heart and the beaks of the birds with a gold marker. This is such an easy and fast way to add your own details to a monochromatic look and I just love using metallic markers for this. It’s such an unexpected and eye catching way to add hints of bling without distracting the eye from the overall design.
I adhered my heart, birds and sprigs to my card and then added the birds’ wings and the little hearts. And voila! A finished card!
Here are the items I used from Brass & Bliss.

You can, of course, adapt this gold, white and pink handmade card using things from your own stash. Personally, I love being able to make some simpler cards for you and find that having a “recipe” like this one makes things so much faster. Play around and see how you like this sweet and special color combination!
Simple and so sweet!
Thank you – I just love the design of this die!
