Make this quick and easy card for a friend in any color with just a few items!
I do love sending cards to my friends and while I love creating little works of art to share with them. But sometimes whipping up a quick and easy card for a friend who I know needs some cheer immediately is called for!
This card comes together in no time and can be made in every color you have card stock for! It’s also incredibly flexible so you can change out the sentiment and thanks to the simple details created by the new Rose Border die from Brass and Bliss, it can truly be perfect for any card-sending reason. I also used a sentiment from their new Freehand Frame set.
The instructions for the making of this card are super streamlined because the MAKING of this card is streamlined! I wasn’t kidding when I said it was quick and easy!
Start by making your white card base. Take the color card stock you want and trim it to a card front sized panel. Using your favorite design from the retired Borders #3 set, cut about one fourth off the bottom of the colored card stock.
Now using that same panel of colored card stock, cut the Rose Border from the top.
Place the bottom oval die cut piece at the bottom of the card and line up where you want your sentiment. Stamp whichever one you want to use onto the white card front.
Adhere the two colored die cut pieces to the card front using dimensional adhesive to add just a hint of a shadow and some depth.
Guess what? You’re done! Isn’t that wild? And you can see how you really riff on this incredibly simple design or just leave it as it is.
