Get the details on how to put together this quick and easy handmade love card that doesn’t LOOK quick and easy!
As I have shared, I am in the throes of working with Brass & Bliss (formerly Rubbernecker) to get their new brand launched so a lot of projects I have been creating have been all focused on speed and simplicity. Today’s quick and easy handmade love card has some beautiful details that make it special indeed but thanks to the fabulous dies from Brass & Bliss, it really is FAST and easy! Today I used their new Heart Borders die along with the Stacked Hearts, Mixable Flower Stack, Tiny Flower Buds, Tiny Leaves #2 dies that are currently all available through the Rubbernecker store (until the new storefront is ready!).
Let me show you just how quick and easy this card is to make.
Card Base and Border
- Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base.
- Cut a 5.50″ x 4.25″ layer using red cardstock and attach it to the white card base using double stick tape.
- Use white cardstock to cut the white Heart Borders layer. Pro Tip: This border die is made with one side being left open so you can create any sized layer . My layer is about 2.00″ X 5.50″.
- Apply strips of mounting tape on the back of the border layer and attach it to the card base, leaving a 1/8″ border along the top for interest.
Heart Arrangement
- Cut a mid size heart from the Stacked Hearts set using red cardstock.
- Use green cardstock to cut a couple sets of the greenery from the Mixable Flower Stack set.
- Attach the foliage sections to the border layer using glossy accents. Pro Tip: I used the red heart to measure where I wanted the greenery to be attached.
- Apply a piece of mounting tape to the back of the heart and attach it over the center of the greenery.
- Cut one Tiny Flower Bud using white cardstock and one Tiny Leaves #2 section using green cardstock.
- Attach the tiny flower to the small leaves using glossy accents.
- Attach the tiny flower and leaves to the heart center using glossy accents.

Now, this quick and easy handmade love card is ALSO a terrific basic card design idea. Swap out the hearts border for another decorative border, change the heart arrangement using another element and even add a sentiment to turn this card into one for any other occasion. Make sure you bookmark this or save it on Pinterest to use over and over!
