Use this idea for a fast last minute handmade birthday card that you can do in all kinds of patterns and colors!
I love having an idea for an easy and fast last minute handmade birthday card in my arsenal. This card uses only THREE things from Brass and Bliss plus any color plus white card stock. You can make it in mere minutes and it’s perfect for when your own time flies and you need a great card as you are going out the door. In fact, there are so many fun patterns in the It’s Party Time 6×6 Paper Pad that you can make a wide variety of these in all different colors that you coordinate with the papers. Pop on the die cut embellishment made with the Alarm Clock die set and a quick sentiment from Brass and Bliss’ Birthday Celebration set and you are good to go!
Let me share the super easy steps with you so you can see how fast this really is to make!
Card Base and Birthday Sentiment
- Use purple cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base.
- Cut a 5.25″ x 4.00″ layer of designer paper from the It’s Party Time 6×6 Paper Pad and attach it to the card base using double stick tape.
- Use white cardstock to cut a 5.25″ x 1.00″ strip and purple cardstock to cut a 1.25″ strip.
- Secure the white strip and the Birthday Celebration sentiment stamp in the MISTI and stamp using Nocturne ink.
- Attach the white and purple strips together using double stick tape.
- Use double stick to attach the sentiment strip to the card base.
Die Cut Alarm Clock
- Use purple and white cardstock to cut the Alarm Clock sections.
- Attach the clock face to the clock base using pieces of mounting tape.
- Use glossy accents to attach the ringer bells, clock hands and the feet sections to the clock.
- Apply pieces of mounting tape to the top and bottom back of the clock and attach it to the card base. Pro Tip: I didn’t apply mounting tape to the middle section of the clock since it was going to lay over the sentiment strip.

The next change I have, I am going to use this fast last minute handmade birthday card to make a stack using more patterns from the It’s Party Time paper pad. I love having these ready to go and they are so cute that you could make them your go-to birthday card for the year!
