Just in time for Father’s Day, this super cute handmade card with tools and overalls will make dad grin from ear to ear!
What a fun time I had making this tools and overalls Father’s Day card using the newly released Brass and Bliss Overalls set paired with the Wood Plank Panel, Wood Planks, Tools and Small Classic Alphabet set. I think this is the perfect card for any father who loves to work with his tools.
Card Base
- Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base and the Wood Plank Panel.
- Cut a blue 5.50″ piece of cardstock to use for layering.
- Apply double stick tape to the back of the blue layer and attach it to the white card base.
- Use strips of double stick tape to attach the Wood Plank Panel to the card base.
Tools and Overalls
- Cut the Overalls pieces using blue and orange cardstock.
- Emboss the Overalls base pieces using a textured embossing folder. Note: This is an older folder and don’t remember who made it.
- Pro Tip: The embossed texture adds dimension and interest to the overalls.
- Attach the large base section to the card base using double stick tape.
- Apply Connect glue to the snap sections and attach them to the straps.
- Attach the straps and snaps to the base using double stick tape and Connect glue.
- Adhere the pocket sections to the base by apply double stick tape to the back sides and bottoms and leaving the tops open for the tools.
- Cut the Tools using silver and orange cardstock.
- Attach the tools and handles together using Connect glue, tuck them in behind the pocket opening and attach using using Connect glue.
Father’s Day Sentiment
- Use white cardstock to cut a Wood Plank.
- Cut a few sections of the Small Classic Alphabet using orange cardstock.
- Attach the letters to the plank using Connect glue. Pro Tips: 1. Lay your letters out on your molding pad or mouse pad to make them easier to pick up. 2. Use tweezers to slide under each letter to pick up and to attach to the plank.
- Attach the sentiment plank to the card base using a strip of mounting tape.

Tools and overalls are such fun elements for masculine birthdays, Father’s Day or any special event. I can’t wait to share a feminine version made with pretty designer paper, garden tools and pots of flowers.
I love both versions (gal and guy). Very cute!!! TFS.
