You can put this fast and easy masculine card together in minutes and you can change it up with different paper patterns and sentiments for any occasion.
I had lots of fun making this fast and easy masculine card using the new Dress Shirt and Tie paired with the Nested Rectangle, Dad Phrases sentiment and Java Good Time 6×6 Paper Pad.
Card Base
- Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base.
- Cut a 5.50″ x 4.25″ medium brown layer from the Java Good Times 6 x 6 Paper Pad. Note: Check out the newly released Life Upon the Sea and Tropical Dreams Paper Pads for more fun shirt patterns.
- Cut the dark brown and stripe layers using the Nested Rectangle set.
- Apply double stick tape to the back of each layer, attach them together and then attach them to the card base.
Shirt, Tie and Sentiment
- Use white cardstock and patterned paper to cut the Shirt and Tie pieces.
- Attach the white rectangle section to the card base using double stick tape.
- Apply double stick tape to the top back of the long tie section and piece of mounting tape to the bottom attach it to the white layer.
- Apply doubles tick tape to the top back of the knot section and a piece of mounting tape to the bottom and attach to the top of the tie.
- Use double stick tape and a rolled up glue dot to attach the shirt collar sections to the white layer. Pro Tip: I like to use rolled up glue dots instead of mounting tape when I want just a little bit of dimension.
- Use connect glue to attach the buttons to the collar.
- Stamp the sentiment on a white strip of cardstock, attach it to a brown strip with double stick tape and attach it to the card base using a strip of mounting tape.
