Come see how to make this fall scene card card with a cozy die cut house and pretty trees– it’s such a sweet and inviting way to welcome Autumn.
I just love making outdoor scenes on my cards and the more realistic I can make them, for me, the more fun it is. Today’s card with a die cut house and trees just gives me the feeling of Fall. The products I used today were the recently recently released Brass and Bliss Town Scape, Spring Town Accessories, along with Nested Rectangle with Square Holes, Nested Rectangles, Classic Tabbed Grass, Tiny Flower Buds, Small Birds and Fall Happiness clear set.
Card Base, Frame and Grass
- Cut an A2 sized blue card base and light blue scene base.
- Cut a white frame using the Nested Rectangle with Holes and Nested Rectangle sets.
- Stamp the sentiment on the scene base.
- Cut two grass layers and attach one to the scene base. Pro Tip: I like to cut the grass layers with the rectangle die to create a matching border with the frame.
- Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attach it to the scene.
- Apply double stick tape to the b ack of the second grass layer and attach it to the frame.
- Adhere double stick tape to the back of the frame scene layer and attach it to the card base.
Cabin and Trees
- Cut and assemble the house parts together using Connect glue.
- Attach a piece of mounting tape to the back of the house, tuck it in behind the grass layer and attach it to the base.
- Use white cardstock to cut the trees and color them using Color Fuse inks and mini applicators.
- Apply VersaMark to the trees, apply clear embossing powder and heat. Pro Tip: Clear heat embossing enhances and brightens the ink colors.
- Tuck the trees in behind the grass sections and attach using small pieces of mounting tape.
Tiny Embellishments
- Cut the birds and tiny flowers using yellow cardstock.
- Apply touches of mustard ink to both the birds and flowers.
- Apply tiny pieces of mounting tape to the back of the birds and attach them to the base,
- Form the tiny flowers using a small tipped stylus and attach them to the grass sections using glossy accents.
