Make a fast and easy die cut Christmas card with bright colors that pop against white a background.
My favorite color combination for holiday cards is traditional white, red and green. I am drawn to the bright contrast of those three colors and have really enjoyed using the Brass and Bliss dies to make my cards this season. To make this card I used the Nested Woodgrain Sign, Large Stocking with Bow, Buildable Poinsettia and Holly #1.
Card Base and Sign
No one needs their reading glasses to see that the sign layer is a little crooked. I hate when that happens but I still love this card enough to send as a holiday greeting.
- Cut the A2 sized card base and smaller sign layer using white cardstock.
- Cut the larger sign layer in red (or whatever color you would like to use) and attach it to the base using double stick tape.
- Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of the white layer and attach it to the red base.
Stocking and Poinsettia
It is no secret that I love making poinsettias for my Christmas cards. I thought this small poinsettia and holly arrangement was the perfect embellishment to dress up the stocking for this easy die cut Christmas card.
- Assemble the red and white stocking parts and attach them together using mounting tape and Nuvo glue. Pro Tip: Popping the white stocking topper with mounting tape adds just the right touch of dimension and interest.
- Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of the stocking and attach it to the base.
- Form the poinsettia layers using your fingers or a stylus and molding pad and attach layers together using glossy accents.
- Apply a generous amount of glossy accents to the back of the poinsettia and attach it to the topper.
- Tuck a few holly branches and berries under the poinsettia and attach using glossy accents.

This easy die cut Christmas card makes a splash even though it is so simple. Since it is so dimensional you may want to consider giving it or mailing it in a small card sized box.
After spending ten minutes looking for the crooked Woodgrain Sign I gave up, even with my glasses I don’t see it. Maybe I need an eye exam. It’s another wonderful card Kittie and TFS.
