Create a festive Merry Christmas Snowman Card with falling snow, evergreen trees and cardinals to complete the scene.
If you have followed me for a while you know that I love making snowman scene cards for my family and friends. For my post today I used the Brass and Bliss Stacked Arches, Winter Snowmen, Deckle Hills, Evergreen Tree, Small Birds, Tiny Leaves #1 and a sentiment from the Christmas Cheer Gnomes set to make my Merry Christmas snowman card.
I love the Stacked Arches set and how the possible uses are endless. The arched snowy layer created a perfect background for my snowman card.
Arched Snow Base
- Cut the two arched layers using red and white cardstock.
- Emboss the snow pattern on the white layer, attach it to the red and attach them both to the card base. I used the Tim Holtz Snowfall Speckles folder.
- Cut two Deckle Hills snow layers and attach them to the scene base.
Snowman, Trees and Birds
- Crimp the three trees, tuck them in behind the back snow layer and attach in place using pieces of mounting tape. Pro Tip: I love using my crimper to add dimension to elements on my cards. Do you have a long ago purchased crimper buried somewhere in your stash? You may want to get it out, dust it off and create more dimension and interest to your cards.
- Cut the snowman elements and attach them together with glue and rolled up double stick tape. Pro Tip: I wanted my snowman to look a little less formal so I trimmed the corners off of the top hat with the snips to create a different hat..
- Tuck the snowman in behind the front snow layer and attach using mounting tape.
- Finish the Merry Christmas snowman card with the tree red birds. Pro Tip: The birds draw the eye up to the empty sky area to complete the scene.
I have made so many cards with snowmen over the years and you can see more of them in my Snowmen Category.

Hello Kittie and than you for sharing this cute and pretty snowman card. Please tell me if the snowy embossing folder is still available. I can’t seem to find it on the Brass and Bliss site.
I LOVE snowmen whether real ones or paper. I am especially fond of this one because it reminds me of “Frosty”, it actually looks as if it is talking! Fabulous job with the hat. You are an exceptional card artist delivering wonderful things to us with every post. TFS. Happy Holidays.
