Make a Z Fold beach card using a base kit from The Paper Cut and several newly released Brass and Bliss die sets from the “Waves and Wins” release to create this dimensional ocean themed project.

I love making 3D projects with lots of fun die cut images to create dimension like I did making this Z Fold beach card with the fun Tiki hut.  This may look complicated to make but it  really is as simple as creating the box base, applying color and then attaching your favorite die cut images.  You can add as many or few images as you want.  I used the Brass and Bliss Farmers Market Stand, Farmers Market Summer Add On, Tropical Birds and Leaves, Deckle Hills, Beach Umbrellas, Beach Chairs, Palm Trees, Grass #2

The Z Fold Card Base and Box

• Use the white pre-scored card  kit base made by The Paper Cut to create the base.
• Apply the water and sky background using lighter and darker shades of blue ink and a large blending brush.
• Create the sea foam by dabbing on white embossing paste and add sparkle by sprinkling crystal clear glitter before the paste dries. Pro Tip:  I used my index finger to dab but you can also use a small pallet tool.
• Use a deckle hill die to cut the tops of the white 11 inch strip and the 3 inserts.
• Apply light brown ink to those pieces to create the sandy beach elements.
• Score the 11 inch sand strip at 5.50″ and 8.25″.
• Attach the strip to the card base using double stick tape on both ends of the strip.
• Apply double stick tape to the tabbed ends of the three box inserts and attach them inside the box.  Pro Tip:  I turned the card base over to create the main front on the right side instead of the left.

Beach Accessories

I used several different beach themed sets to create this full dimensional Z Fold beach card. Most of the elements were cut using colored cardstock with the exception of the palm tree trunks which I cut using white cardstock and colored dark brown.  I love how the bright colored images look against the blue background and sand.

• Cut and assemble all of the beach elements.
• Set aside the most of the small images from the Farmers Market Summer Add on set to attach to the Tiki Hut.
• Attach the palm trees, beach chair and umbrellas, beach accessories and foliage to the card base  and inserts using glossy accents.

The Tiki Hut

• Cut the Tiki hut parts using white cardstock and apply light and dark brown shades of ink to the different sections.  Pro Tip: I double layered the post sections for added strength.
• Attach the sections together using glossy accents and sections of rolled up double stick tape.

• Attach the hut to the front section of the card base using strips of mounting tape.
• Use pieces of mounting tape to attach all the fun elements to the front of the hut base.
• Tuck a palm tree in behind the sand section on the right side of the card and attach with a strip of mounting tape.  Pro Tip: Adding the single palm tree to the right created balance for both sides of the card.
