Make a colorful flowers card with an arbor gate scene for summer.
I love to create scenes especially with flowers arranged with outdoor images. The arbor and gate provided me the perfect opportunity to highlight a pretty blue sky background and lots of colorful summer flowers. To make this card I used the Brass and Bliss Nested Rectangle, Stacked Arches, Gate and Fence, Classic Grass, Leaves and Greenery, Sunlit Blossoms, Small Butterflies and Tropical Birds and Leaves.
I was inspired to make this flower themed design by a larger version I made back in June. Take a look at my Make a Die Cut Arbor with Flowers post.
A2 Scene Base
- Used nested dies to cut the smaller rectangle layers.
- Use a blending brush and blue ink to apply the sky area with a clouds stencil.
- Attach the sky layer to the larger layer and then attach them to the card base using strips of mounting tape.
- Cut the small arbor section and gate and fence sections and attach them together.
- Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of the arch and fence sections and attach them to the base.
- Cut one grass section and attach it to the gate and fence using a strip of double stick tape.
Flower Arrangement
- Cut the foliage sections and attach them to the fence and gate using glue.
- Cut colorful cardstock flowers, form them using a stylus and molding pad and attach them to the foliage with glue.
- Finish the scene by attach small butterflies.
Here are all the products used to make this colorful flowers card.

Do you have outdoor die cut images and flowers that you can use to make a colorful flowers card of your own.

So nice to see you still creating beautiful cards, Ms. Kittie. They were always such a treat to discover online in the past when caring for each other on paper was the norm.
