Make elegant holiday cards using decorative die cut rectangle half panels.

Today I’m sharing cards to show off two new Brass and Bliss rectangle half panels dies and how each one adds dimension and interest to my card fronts. I’ve created both cards with a poinsettia and foliage arrangement.

Cut the Half Panel

Cut an A2 sized card base and score in the middle.
Place the card base on the cutting platform, line up the half panel on the card base and run through the machine.
Attach a piece of pink cardstock to the inside of the vertical card base.
Cut the second card base using blue cardstock.
Cut a 5.50″ x 4.25″ piece of white cardstock, place if ton the platform and cut using half panel.
Attach the white panel to the blue card base using strips of mounting tape.

Poinsettia Arrangement

Cut two of each poinsettia section and gently form the petals with your fingers to add dimension.
Attach the sections together using glue and make sure to offset each layer.
Attach the poinsettia to the card base using a good strong glue. Pro Tip: I use glossy accents to assemble and attach the flower and foliage sections together and also to attach to the card base. It creates a good strong bond.
Cut the foliage sections and tuck them under and around the poinsettia and attach using glossy accents.
Attach the holly berries to the branches using Nuvo glue. Pro Tip: I like using the Nuvo glue to attach small pieces like the berries because it dries perfectly clear.
