Come see how to create a nature inspired holiday card with a festive tree frame with lights and stars. The deer and bunny bring life to the scene.
I have always love creating Christmas cards with an outdoor scene with deer. The large tree arch is perfect to frame the deer and bunny and looks festive with the lights and stars. To make this card I used the Brass and Bliss Tree Frame with Lights, Winter Buck with Wreath, String of Lights, Deckle Hills, Springtime Animals, Greenery #1, Small Cardinals and Pine Tree Clear Set.
Card Base and Trees
- Use light blue ink to create the A2 sized card base.
- Stamp the pine tree several times across the base. Pro Tip: Stamp the trees at different heights for a natural appearance.
Tree and Snow Layer
- Cut the tree frame using white or cream cardstock and apply brown ink using a wet baby wipe or blender brush. Pro Tip: Applying ink with a baby wipe provides a smooth color base. I apply ink this way for larger die cut images. It much faster.
- Apply strips to the back of the tree and attach it to the base of the card.
- Use white cardstock to cut the snow layer and attach to the frame with double stick tape.
- Cut the embellishment sections with bright yellow, green, blue and red cardstock.
- Attach the sections to the frame using Nuvo glue.
Deer and Bunny
- Cut the deer and bunny using white cardstock.
- Apply brown ink to the bodies using a small blending brush.
- Cut the wreath and bow and attach it to the deer’s neck.
- Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of the deer and bunny and attach them to the card base.

Gorgeous scene, I do love the added wreath around the deer and the greenery around the bunny too 🙂
