Create a joyful holiday wreath card with holly, pine boughs and poinsettias for the special people on your family and friends list.
There is nothing more that I love than adding a wreath to my cards. This all red and green color combination really pops against the all white background. For this project I used the Brass and Bliss Joy Vertical and Horizontal, Decorative Floral Circle, Pine Bough, Build a Bloom Poinsettia #4, Wreath Set (wreath base) and Holly #1.
Build the Wreath
- Cut the round wreath base and several sections of foliage using green cardstock.
- Begin attaching the pine boughs to the base using glossy accents (or your favorite glue).
- Alternate the direction of each bough to create a natural arrangement. Pro Tip: I start with one straight, one overlapping to the right and one to the right. This process is time consuming but not difficult at all.
- Mold the holly leaves with your fingers to add a touch of dimension.
- Attach tiny red circles to the holly branches.
- Use glossy accents to attach the holly branches to the pone boughs.
Finish the Card
- Cut the decorative layer and attach it to the card base with pieces of mounting tape.
- Attach three tiny poinsettias to the wreath using glossy accents.
- Apply a generous amount of glossy accents to the back of the holiday wreath and attach it to the decorative layer.
- Cut the horizontal joy sections, attach them together and attach them to the card base using a piece of mounting tape.
