Easy Birthday cards to hand make for family and friends!
Have you had the chance to check out the Brass and Bliss “Sweet Wishes” January 2026 release. My card today was made with the new Presents and Packages, Victorian Label Nested, Flag Banners, All Occasion Birthday Greetings. One of the things I love most about this design idea is that you can use just about anything you have on hand in terms of color and patterned paper and make something that is super cute.
Decorative Layered Card Base
- Cut a 5.50″ x 4.25 card base.
- Use a colored cardstock to cut the large decorative layer and white to cut the smaller layer.
- Apply Nuvo glue to the smaller layer and attach it to the larger one.
Line up the layers and attach to the card base using Nuvo glue. Pro Tip: I am the queen of “CROOKED” layers. Using the Nuvo glue provides the opportunity to move the layers around to line up before it sets. I also secure the card base in place on my sticky mat. to keep it from moving around
Presents and Packages
These birthday presents were fun to use for making easy birthday cards. I love using a white background so the bright colors pop.
- Cut all the different parts and pieces using colors of your choice. I chose solids but these would be fun using designer papers. I used vellum to cut the tissue paper sections.
- Use Nuvo glue to assemble and attach the different parts and pieces together.
- Use pieces of mounting tape to attach the presents and packages to the card base.
- Stamp the sentiment and cut it out using a small flag banner.
- Layer the sentiment with a larger flag banner.
- Attach the sentiment layer to the card base using a strip of mounting tape.
Here are links to all of the products used to make my card. Now is a great time to hop over to see the whole release while all products are discounted 20% off.
