Flower themed cards are fun to make for almost any occasion.
Paper flower cards can be made for so many different occasions. I chose to make todays card with a feminine birthday theme project with a floral arrange made with pink flowers to match the beautiful background paper. The Stitch Dot Nested Arch from the Brass and Bliss “Sweet Wishes” January release was used to create the background paired with Large Ivy, Small Flowers #4, Birthday Wishes Sayings, Welcome Spring 6×6 Paper Pad.
Just a reminder that all new release items are 20% off through 1/25, so if something catches your eye, now’s a great time to grab it.
Card Base and Arch Layers
- Cut a 5.50″ x 4.25″ card base using white cardstock and a pink 5.50″ x 4.25″ layer.
- Attach the pink layer to the base using double stick tape.
- Use white cardstock and designer paper to cut the stitched arches and attach them together using double stick tape.
- Use double stick tape to attach the arches to the card base.
Paper Flower Arrangement and Sentiment
Flower themed cards can be used for so many different occasions. Birthdays, sympathy, think of you, etc.
- Use pink cardstock to cut the paper flowers and sentiment letters.
- Use green cardstock to cut the ivy branches.
- Use Nuvo glue to attach the Happy Birthday sections to the white strip and attach it to the card base using a strip of mounting tape.
- Form the tiny flowers using a tiny tipped stylus.
- Attach the flowers to the ivy branches using Nuvo glue. I added five flowers to each branch. Pro Tip: I keep the tiny circles that remain from cutting eyelet bordered dies. I used those to attach to the flower centers.
- Tuck the flower branches under the top and bottom of the sentiment strip and attach using glossy accents. Pro Tip: I use reverse tweezers to pick up small pieces like the flowers and flower centers. I place them on my molding pad so they are easy to scoot the tweezers under to pick up.
Making flower themed cards can be done with lots of details or simple layouts. There are endless possibilities for themes, colors and arrangements.
Brass and Bliss have so many wonderful products that can be used to make flower themed cards. Here are the links to the products I used for this card. I especially love the new Stitch Dot Nested Arch set.
